SAVANNAH – Herbert Carl Harrell, 80, beloved husband of Mary T. Harrell, died Monday, August 31, 2009, at his home.
A native of Douglas, GA, Mr. Harrell was a veteran of the United States Navy during World War II. He had forty years invested at Stone Container as a Millwright Craft Mechanic and in Management.
He was the devoted father of Lisa Ann Rogers of Savannah, Theresa R. Vause of Chesapeake, VA, and Dan Russell of Colorado Springs, CO. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, two sisters, Latrell Brown and Robinel Anderson, a half-brother, J. D. Harrell; and several nieces and nephews of Boston, MA and Georgia.
At the request of the family funeral services will be private.
Donations in his memory may be made to the National Parkinson's Foundation, 1501 NW 9th St., Miami, FL 33146 or Odyssey Hospice, 1000 Towne Center Blvd., Pooler, GA 31322.
